A methodology survey conducted by the Gomoa West District Oversight Committee of the Africa Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) on five communities has revealed that 88 per cent of children between five-14 years do not attend school.
The survey which was undertaken from July and August was held at Gomoa Dego, Gomoa Brofoyedru, Apam, Mumford and Gomoa Ohua in the Central Region.
Three hundred people from each town made up of assembly members, traditional authorities, private actor and public servants were interviewed.
These came to light during a validation workshop for democracy and good governance by the Gomoa West District APRM at Apam.
