Former Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Minster Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni has said he is yet to meet with various interest groups including the National Democratic Congress (NDC) before a decision can be taken on his seat in parliament.
The Kumbungu MP has been nominated for the position of Secretary General of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States to serve the unexpired term of Dr. Mohammed Ibn Chambas.
It is unclear whether he will resign his seat. Addressing party faithfuls in his constituency Sunday, Ahaji Mumuni said he is yet to make a firm decision on the matter.
According to him, “if there is no contradictions, if the two can co-exist why not, I would want to but I do know there will be many challenges because most of the work of the ACP is exterior to this country and most of the work of parliament is interior to this country.”
