The Upper West regional NDC executives have given a strong indication they will sanction disgruntled members who went on rampage destroying billboards of President Mahama in Wa.
The irate youth yesterday vandalised party property and burnt billboards of President Mahama in protest of the President’s choice of Abu Kansangabata as the Upper West Deputy Regional Minister-Designate.Until his nomination, Abu Kansangabata was the Nadowli District Chief Executive. The rampaging youth disagreed with the president for his choice and registered their protest violently.The party’s Regional Organizer Adams Issahaku who said the party is worried about the situation stated that sanctions would be applied to members violate the law in expressing their concerns even if those concerns were genuine.Meanwhile, there has been police deployment at both the regional and Wa Central constituency offices of the party to forestall any further disturbancesy.
