The 2012 vice Presidential Candidate for the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has been discharged from hospital.
A source Dr. Bawumia told Myjoyonline.com that “he was discharged from the Lister Hospital Sunday night he is home now resting”.
Dr. Bawumia survived a near-fatal accident early Sunday, when his convoy was involved in an accident while returning from the Bole Wura’s funeral in Bole in the Northern Region.
He was travelling to the Ashanti Region when two of the tyres of the vehicle he was travelling in, exploded 15 minutes into the journey. The vehicle flipped over, veered off the road, rolling over a few times.
Dr Bawumiah was travelling with three other persons – his aide Kwabena Boadu, his bodyguard Tanko, and his driver Emmanuel who all survived the accident.
