Hearts of Oak breathed life into a difficult season by reaching the quarter-finals of the MTN FA Cup on Sunday after winning 2-0 over Starke FC.
The Phobians, who finished with ten men scored in either half of the game at the Accra Sports Stadium against the Division One campaigners.
Hearts' stand-in captain Moro Abubakar was red-carded after the break.
Striker Gilbert Fiamenyo gave David Duncan's side the opener on the hour mark before second half substitute Mahatma Otoo wrapped up victory when he scored the second goal.
Progress in the Cup competition will calm the slow start they made in the Premier League where they now lie 11th.
