Ghana did not expect to find themselves in a rather difficult situation going into their second match at the 2013 African Junior Championships. But the Black Starlets, two-time African champions risk a first round exit after losing in their opening match, 6-1 to Nigeria on Sunday. On Wednesday, Ghana are aware that there is little room for error and they can change their fortunes in Group B if they beat Congo in Marrakech. The game against the Congolese, who have one point is very decisive for Ghana as Black Starlets coach, Paa Kwesi Fabin attempts to right the wrongs from the opening match.“Tactically we didn’t do a good job and our approach to the game did not work but its back to the drawing board and we will work to better against Congo” said Fabin.Congolese coach Basile Ekariki is taking consolation from their performance in their first match, which they drew 1-1 with Ivory Coast."This is not a bad result. In the first game, it is always important not to lose. We now hope to improve our performance during the second day against Ghana," Congo's coach, Ekariki said. The semi finalists in the competition will represent Africa at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates in October.
