The Private Universities Students’ Association of Ghana (PUSAG) is asking the NDC and the NPP as well as their supporters to accept the outcome of the election petition being heard by the Supreme Court.
The students are therefore appealing to both parties to desist from any act of violence or chaos in the aftermath of the Supreme Court’s verdict.
PUSAG in a statement signed by its National President Elias Zigah noted that Ghana has reached a point where its enviable democracy has been put to its strongest test.
“This is not a stalemate in our political history, but, it however serves as an opportunity to once again prove to the continent of Africa and the entire world that Ghana is a citadel of democracy and our beacon is freedom and justice.”
It therefore reminded the parties on the need to protect this reputation at this very crucial moment.
