A scheduled meeting for newly-appointed Mayor of Kumasi, Kojo Bonsu to deliver his first sessional address to members was disrupted following a clash between the Presiding Member of the KMA Nana Senya and KMA Boss Kojo Bonsu.
The confusion was over a letter supposed to have been sent to the members announcing a list of members constituting the various sub committees.
But Nana Senya says he did not receive it.
During the meeting the KMA boss expressed utter shock at the denial by Nana Senya that he had not received the letter.
According to Kojo Bonsu, the presiding officer came to his office to have a discussion with him on the same matter and wondered why he will feign ignorance of the letter.
His comments generated furore among members of the Assembly some of whom whispered in protest or in support of the two men involved in the drama.
The election of Kojo Bonsu as Mayor was not without controversy. Some of the members of the Assembly protested his election citing supposed lack of experience in the Local Assembly.
