Lesedi foundation, a non-profit organisation has donated one bedroom house at the cost of Ghc 20,000 to Maame Maku Amanor, a leper and blind woman at Sekesua in the Eastern Region.The foundation also provided her a bed and a mattress as well as other household items, including food and drinks.Before the donation, Maame Amanor, aged 85 was living in a structure made of iron sheets with palm fronts as her roof and a chair as her bed.At a ceremony to hand over the house, Mrs. Josephine Ami-Narh, lead organiser of Lesedi foundation said the organisation was set up to contribute to the positive transformation of the lives of the poor and less privileged in the society.
