Selly Ghalley Fiawoo, wife of Praye Tia Tia, has rubbished assertions that her husband’s group - Praye - is seeking to gain attention through the music awards.Praye went bonkers when their name was missing from the nomination list of 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).The group took to social media to rant for days. They accused Charterhouse, organisers of the awards, of bias and got into a banter with George Quaye, who works with the organisers.Reacting to the predicament of Praye in a conversation with JoyNews’ MzGee, Selly jumped to the defence of her husband’s group.“It’s out of place for you to say they are seeking attention with anything that they do. Come on, these are legends. We breathe, we eat, we sleep Praye. Whether you like it or not so I think it was below the belt,” she said.Responding to criticism that Praye’s come back song - ‘Bang Bang’ – isn’t a hit song hence could not have been considered for nomination, the TV personality cum actress said, that is her favourite song.“That’s my favourite song actually so I don’t know what anybody else is saying....there were so many dancing to it that I kept on posting on my page. It was a hit song,” she said.Watch the video below for more:
