Ghana's female Under-17 football team, Black Maidens, will know in the coming days if they have been declared winners of their Women’s World Cup qualifier against Congo or winners of only the first leg match which failed to come off yesterday. The match referee was forced to call-off of the fixture after the Black Maidens arrived at the Accra Sports Stadium for the scheduled first leg qualifier only to realize that the Congolese did not show up.Ghana are pushing for a final round place where six teams will play for the three qualifying slots available for next year's World Cup in Costa Rica. The Black Maidens won bronze at the 2012 World Cup in Azerbaijan where they made their third successive appearance at the finals.
