Ex Ghana defender Anthony Baffoe has been appointed onto FIFA’s powerful anti-racism task force.
The 48-year-old is being rewarded for his impressive works as a match general coordinator for both CAF and FIFA.
Baffoe will be joining Ghanaian compatriot Kevin-Prince Boateng who is also serving on the task force set up by FIFA in March.
FIFA created the new body to deal with the increasing rate of racism and discrimination in football.
The task force which is chaired by CONCACAF President Jeffrey Webb have already made recommendations for stronger punishments for offenders in their maiden proposal to the world football governing body in May.
Baffoe who was racially abused during his active playing days is expected to bring his vast experience as a player and now a match official to bear on the task force.
He will be joining the likes of renowned English referee Howard Webb, American Jozy Altidore and Theo van Segglen on the panel.
Other members of the taskforce include Nigerian Osasu Obayiuwana, Marcel Mathier, Claudio Sulser, David Bernstein, Piara Power and Gianni Merlo.
