Ghana international and Helsingborgs IF striker David Accam, looks forward for a call up to the Black Stars for their crucial 2014 FIFA World Cup against Zambia next month in Kumasi.
The 22 year old striker was again on target for his club side Helsingborgs IF on Monday as they lost 4-3 away to Mjällby AIF in the Swedish league.
The former Right to Dream academy player received a call up to the Black Stars for Ghana’s World Cup qualifier against Sudan in March but was an unused substitute.
After his impressive performance so far in the Swedish top flight Accam is hopeful of a call ahead of the crunch qualifier against Zambia in September.
“I’m always ready to play for my country and i hope very soon I will get the opportunity to play again,” he told Joy sports in an exclusive interview.
“So far I’m doing great and I’m happy with the way I’m playing but think I can still do better.
“I worked really hard this pre- season and that is what is paying off now, my confidence is really high and I'm fit."
Accam has been in stunning form this season after scoring 11 goals in 19 games this season for his club side Helsingborgs IF .
