The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has suspended two referees indefinitely for poor performance.
A GFA statement signed Mr Kofi Nsiah, General Secretary put referees W.L Quaye of Accra and John Hodzade of Akatsi on ice till further notice.
Referee Quaye officiated in the first and fifth week matches between Heart of Lions and Real Sportive at Kpando and Hearts of Oak and Liberty Professionals at El Wak respectively, while assistant referee Hodzade was on duty in the sixth week between Real Sportive and Wa All Stars at El Wak.
This brings the number of referees so far axed in the eight week old league to four.
Earlier, referee T.K. Aggrey and assistant referee Reuben Laryea went under the GFA’s hammer for their abysmal performance in the third week fixture between Kessben and Liberty played at Abrankese.
