A Professor at the Department of Biological, Environmental & Occupational Health Science at the University of Ghana, Prof Isabella Quakyi, has been named the 2019 recipient of The Clara Southmayd Ludlow Award by the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH ).
The Clara Southmayd Ludlow Medal is a prestigious award that was created in 2017 by ASTMH in honour of a female scientist who is an icon of research in Tropical Medicine.
The Award was conferred on her at the 68th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH ) at the Gaylord Hotels and Convention Centre, Washington DC, before an audience of its 5,000 researchers in Tropical Medicine and Global Health.
