Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, Presidential candidate of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) on Sunday stated the preparedness of the Party
to reclaim its lost territories to enhance the Party's chances in the December general elections.
He said, the Party had awakened to take its position in the country's politics and was combat ready to work selflessly to win the elections.
Dr. Nduom said these when he paid a courtesy call on Togbe Afede XIV, Agbogbomefia of Asogli Traditional Area in Ho to introduce himself to the chiefs and people of the Area.
He described the CPP as the best political party for the December elections and called on Ghanaians to remember the good old days when there was work for the people and vote the Party back to power.
Dr. Nduom said a CPP government would separate politics from business and economics and create jobs in bid to re-introduce "work and happiness" to make the country a happy place for all, including the haves and the have-nots.
Togbe Afede in an address said the country needed a humble and honest leader, who would inspire the citizenry, and instill in them virtues of hard work, discipline, ambition, altruism, tolerance and respect for one another.
He said Dr. Kwame Nkrumah's top priorities for the country was to create a strong Ghana by strengthening loyalty to the state, while reducing the appeal of tribal ethnicity and called on all presidential aspirants to be guided by that principle to ensure national unity and rapid socio-economic development of the country.
Togbe Afede urged all aspirants to be mindful of their conduct before, during and after the December elections so that their actions "do not disturb the peace that has made our nation stand out in a chaotic sub-region".
Earlier, Dr. Nduom with the wife and national executives of the party fellowshipped at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ho, where prayers were said by Monsignor Anthony Kornu, Parish Priest for the CPP, the nation and for peaceful elections in the December.
