ACP Lydia Donkor, who is in charge of legal and prosecution at the Ghana Police Service, has been appointed as Chairperson of Women’s Premier League side Police Ladies FC.
This comes after a period of demonstrated interest and involvement in the team's affairs. In the early stage of the season, she took the initiative to motivate and support the Police Ladies team with winning bonuses amongst other interventions.
She donated GHc 2000 to the police ladies team when they won their league opener against Ladystrikers 4-1.
Aside these, ACP Lydia Donkor has been key figure In whipping up support for the women’s league among other lady professionals.
Lydia Yaako Donkor is a law enforcement officer with over 15 years of experience. she joined the Ghana police service as a lawyer and holds with a master of law degree from the University of Leeds and a qualifying degree from the Ghana school of law.
The proud product of Wesley Girls High School Cape Coast also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in law and political science, from the University of Ghana, Legon.
She has been present at every premier league encounter at the McDan La Town Park. She gets to work immediately as her side are third in the southern zone league table with 2 wins and 4 draws out of their last six encounters.
