The National Youth Organiser of the National Democratic Congress, Haruna Iddrisu, has cautioned supporters of the party in the Volta against complacency.He said it was not politically prudent to over rely on the fact that the region was the party’s stronghold.Mr Iddrisu stressed the need for the leadership of the party in the region to be committed and proactive to further strengthen the party’s support base.Speaking to Joy New’s Agbeko Ben Kofie, the Youth Organiser said the New Patriotic Party, (NPP), was not in the region to win but to reduce the margin of votes of the NDC.Mr Iddrisu, who is also the Member of Parliament for Tamale South, urged supporters of the party to be vigilant to check infiltration into the party by members of the NPP.He called on them to avoid acts that could undermine the structures of the NDC.
