The health workers group has set yet another strike deadline of next Thursday, February 15th.The leadership served the notice in a letter to the Minister for Health on Tuesday stating their intent to withdraw their services. The government had asked for a March extension to work on the salary structure of the health workers, however the group refused. The Health workers say their employer has failed to resolve an ongoing dispute over rights to equal pay for work of equal value in their job evaluations.Members have reduced their work hours in protest since December. The group is also demanding that all salary increases agreed to in its recent collective agreement be implemented with effect from January 2006.
