A 35 year-old Farmer, Isaac Kobla Agordzie, alias Torgbui, was on Wednesday, sentenced to 30 years imprisonment for defiling two girls, by a Tarkwa circuit court presided over by Mr John Ajet Nasam.He was jailed 10 years for defiling his 14-year-old step daughter and 20 years for the same offence on a 12-year-old friend of the step daughter both of whom attended the same primary school at Samahuu near Tarkwa.He was sentenced on his own plea.Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Anthony Danso of Tarkwa Police said the accused together with the step daughter and her mother lived at Abekoase near Tarkwa.He said on 26th February 2008, Agordzie’s wife travelled to Tarkwa and returned the following day.Chief Inspector Danso said in the evening of the day Agordzie’s wife travelled, the step daughter invited her friend for dinner, after which they went to relax in a room.He said Agordzie took advantage of the absence of his wife and entered the room where the two victims were relaxing and offered them money for sex, but the victims turned down the offer and he left the room.Agordzie went back to the room and forcibly had sexual intercourse with the two victims after which he gave them GH¢1 each.Chief Inspector Danso said after the act, the step daughter could not bear the ordeal and went outside and started vomiting.Incidentally, her sister happened to be passing by, and questioned if she was sick, and she told her the act Agordzie had subjected them to.The sister immediately informed their mother, who reported the case to the Police and Agordzie was arrested.Source: GNA
