The Vice President, Alhaji Aliu Mahama, has left Accra on a three-nation investment tour.
The Vice President, who would be visiting India, China and Dubai, was accompanied by officials from the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, Customs Excise and Preventive Services, Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana Free Zones Board and other public services involved in the Gateway project.
Mr Yaw Boabeng Asamoah, Special Assistant to the Vice President, told journalists at the airport that the visit was expected to culminate in more investments from India and China, which were currently the first and second highest foreign direct investors respectively in Ghana.
He said the visit was part of the World Bank sponsored Ghana Trade and Investment Project (Gate Way), adding that, its objective was to enhance the business environment in Ghana.
Vice President Aliu Mahama is expected to be away for two weeks. At the airport to see him off were officials from the office of the Vice President.Source: GNA
