The newly elected Second National Vice Chairperson of the Democratic Freedom Party, Ms. Frances Essiam says comments by defeated flag-bearer aspirant Alhaji Issaka Rahman attributing his defeat to injustice on the part of the Dr. Obed Yao Asamoah, founder, should be disregarded.
Alhaji Issaka Rahman blamed his defeat on Dr. Obed Asamoah for declaring support for the winning candidate Emmanuel Ansah-Antwi.
He is also purported to have hinted that the flag-bearer was favoured because of his ethnic background.
Ms. Frances Essiam however told Joy News Alhaji Rahman’s assertions of ethnic biases against him are untrue because the elected flag-bearer, Asante-Antwi and Obed Asamoah hail from different regions.
Ms. Frances Essiam also believes the newly elected executives of the party have what it takes to effectively mobilize the necessary support to make an impact in the December polls.
