The peaceful Agbor town in Delta State in Nigeria is currently enmeshed in tension following the alleged secret wedding to a white woman by a monarch, Benjamin Ikechukwu Kiagborekuzi I.
Reports said that residents of Agbor and the palace chiefs are worried over the marriage to a white lady by the Dein of the kingdom.
A highly respected palace chief, Alika (surname withheld) told our correspondent that the ruling council has insisted that the Dein, who is 37 should get married to a Nigerian from Agbor kingdom according to the tradition.
Speaking further, Chief Alika alleged that the secret wedding is a taboo in the kingdom.
When our correspondent visited the palace, some persons who agreed to speak to our correspondent on condition of anonymity, claimed that the Dein called it a bluff stating that he has the right to do whatever he wants.
