President Kufuor has appealed to motorists and other road users to be extremely cautious on the roads as more people will be traveling to their constituencies to vote and also celebrate the yuletide.In a Christmas and New Year message to the nation, he charged the Police and other law enforcement agencies to be alert and discharge their functions effectively to ensure accident-free yuletide.In a statement signed by the Press Secretary to the President, Andrew Awuni, President Kufuor asked Ghanaians, the Electoral Commission and the political parties to ensure that fairness prevails in Sunday’s run-off to avoid suspicions and tensions.This way the President said the whole nation will share in the pride of having contributed to the credibility and success of the election, the outcome of which all interest groups should be able to live with.The President said Ghana must enter the New Year in peace, harmony and unity.Source: GNA
