The National Chief Imam, Sheik Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, on Tuesday appealed to the government to take steps to ensure that peace and unity was maintained as the nation waited for the results of the presidential run-off.
In a statement in Accra from the Office of the Chief Imam, he thanked God for a peaceful election and expressed the hope that God will provide the leadership of the two sides in the election, the wisdom to exercise restraint under the circumstance.
