Mr Ebow White, Chief Executive Officer of Rover Man Productions, on Thursday advised Ghanaians to “feed” their minds with knowledge through reading, attributing a poor society to one which people do not read.
He said the cardinal difference between the developed countries and Ghana is that, most people in the developed world spend time reading while Ghanaians do not read.
Mr White, who is also a playwright, was launching a book titled: “Things Visible and Invisible,” authored by Mr Kofi Bentum Quantson, a former Director of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI).
“Man does not live on bread alone,” he said and recommended that man must also feed his intellect to make him ‘whole’.
Mr White commenting on the book said it is one that reflects on life, easy to read and understand and one that can be used for relaxation.
The book, he said has 27 different stories which talks about life especially spiritual things.
Mr Quantson pointed out that the book focused on stories that relates to the human personality and said each story had its own lesson and wisdom.
“Man is not only bones and flesh, man is also spirit,” he said urging people to develop their spiritual beings since there was more beyond the things seen with our naked eyes.
Archbishop Charles Gabriel Palmer Buckle, Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra, who chaired the function, suggested that Ghanaians should learn to relax and have leisure times since creativity resulted from leisure.
He said human beings are unique and complex and urged every human to try and impact society positively by leaving a footprint that they would be remembered for.
The first five copies of the book were sold for GHc300 each.
