Some artistes across the world are known to sometimes throw their priced apparels to their fans during a performance.
Some give out watches, shades, jackets and blings as gifts to their loyal fans. They do this by either throwing them to the fans or handing them to a select fan or fans.
Well, this also happens in Ghana albeit rarely.
Last Friday night at the Accra Sports Stadium, Captain Planet, a member of music trio, 4x4, did exactly that.
During the group’s performance at the Tigo Music Unplugged concert, Captain Planet, born Sylvanus Dodji Jeoffrey, gave out his Nike sneakers to his teeming fans.
The artiste first gave out the first pair of sneakers and later followed it with the second pair. Unfortunately, he tossed the sneakers in different directions and whoever grabs one will have to find a way getting the other.
Captain Planet left the stage only in his white socks.
The artiste and other members of the group, had earlier given fans their designer caps and blings.
Captain Planet explained to Myjoyonline.com that he gave the sneakers, estimated to cost $180, out due to the immense love he has for his fans who have been very supportive of 4x4’s career.
“I love my fans so I can’t deny them when they ask for it. It’s not that expensive but there is joy in giving especially fans that have got your back from day one and made you the star you are today,” he explained.
