Kwame Oko, a hunter, was on Thursday arrested by the Suhum police, for mistaking a fellow hunter as a game and shot him in the bush at Ayibontey near Nsawam.
The Police at Suhum told the GNA that, Yao Korkor, 36-year-old hunter, is on admission at the Suhum Government hospital.
He said on that fateful day, the suspect went on his normal hunting expedition while the victim also went to pick snails from the bush.
The police said the suspect claimed that he heard an unusual noise in the bush and thinking it was an animal shot at it only to realize that he had rather wounded a human being.
The suspect managed to carry the victim to the road side where he hired a vehicle and conveyed him to the hospital and later reported himself to the police.
