The national broadcaster has lined up a number of activities to mark the year-long celebrations of its 80 years of operation.
The Multimedia Group and Metro TV delivered solidarity messages at the launch.
Business Development Manager at Multimedia, parent company of Joy FM, Charles Van Dyck, delivered the company's solidarity message.
"As any octogenarian would tell you, it takes a lot of living to reach that age and we [Multimedia Group] are proud to join you as you celebrate many high points that have been touched and honour the many men and women, past and present who have been part of what we know has been an exciting, if sometimes challenging journey", said Mr Van Dyck.
He adds: "For us at Multimedia Group, GBC has been an inspiration as we forge our way on our own journey like you. Perhaps we too will leave some footprints in the sands of time".
