The Electoral Commission says it postponed the new voters’ registration exercise not suspended it as the mainstream media reported it.
According to a statement signed by the Acting public Affairs Director, Sylvia Annoh, the Commission is still preparing for the exercise at various Metropolitan, Municipal and District levels to ensure the smooth running of the exercise when it commences.
“A new date for the registration exercise will be announced as soon as the COVID-19 pandemic is under control.”
