The Coalition of Unemployed Medical Laboratory Scientists (COUMLS) says they are ready to offer their support to help the Ghana Health Service (GHS) fight the COVID-19 outbreak in the country.
The Coalition in a statement issued on Friday said the Service need more workforces to fight the pandemic particularly at the time that Ghana’s coronavirus cases continue to soar.
It noted that Ghana’s health system is dependent on clinical laboratory testing and diagnostics so government should attend to their request as soon as possible.
“We humbly appeal through the Ministry of Health as a matter of urgency, consider engaging these trained unemployed medical laboratory personnel who are ready to help build a more robust and effective response to COVID-19.”
