Ghanaians are reacting with anxiety to news of a lockdown which takes effect from Monday, March 30, 2020 as the country records four more cases of COVID-19.
Following President Akufo-Addo’s announcement on Friday night, many of them have been throng various shops and fuel stations to stock up on basic supply to keep them through the two-week lockdown.
The President's announcement indicated that movements in some urban areas in the country will be restricted from Monday in Accra, Tema and Kumasi as part of government measures to control the spread of the coronavirus.
But scenes across Accra on Saturday morning showed long queues at shopping centres, LPG stations, markets among others as people rush to stock up ahead of Monday's development.
