Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta was on Thursday morning in Parliament to present the Mid-year and Supplementary Budget Review.
On July 15, he presented the draft statement to the Cabinet for approval.
Joy Business understands Cabinet meeting made a number of suggested changes to the draft statement for the Finance Minister to work on.
He returned his draft to Cabinet with the amended statement on Tuesday for approval before he appears before the House today.
He is expected to announce a new stimulus package for businesses hardest hit by the coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking to JoyNews, the Finance Minister said, “I think we have to be clear that businesses are suffering so your challenge is, sure you have to pay your taxes, but how do you show that you’ll give them some flexibility and leeway for that."
