Authorised dealers in Jaguar and Land Rover cars in Ghana, Alliance Motor Ghana Limited has unveiled the latest luxury Land Rover Defender model to the Ghanaian market.
According to the General Manager Richard Ankomah, despite the hash impact of Covid-19 pandemic on their market sales, they are hopeful activities will pick up as situations normalize.
He stated that every individual in times such as this will forego luxury to satisfy present pressing conditions.
"We are in the luxury category of the automobile market and as expected, people will satisfy other necessities first in difficult times before they spend. We are badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic but we are sure things will get better," he added.
Touching on assembling of cars in the country, Mr Ankomah indicated that maybe in the future Jaguar and Land Rover may consider it.
He said the establishment of assembly plants by some automobile giants is in the right direction but it is not in the short to the medium-term plans of the company.
The new Land Rover Defender comes in sleek style with artificial intelligence fully embedded for the safety of the user from road accidents.
The new car according to the dealers is a new model that represents 70 years of innovation and improvement.
This new design is honouring the vehicle's history for rugged solidity while thoroughly remaining a defender for the 21st-century adventure.
