The Chief of Chereponi, Nanyame Kofi Malba VIII is urging the leadership of the various political parties to ensure there is no violence as the country heads towards the December 7 polls.
This, according to him, is because of the negative impact of violence on humanity and development.
Speaking during a courtesy call at his palace by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Nanyame Kofi Malba VIII urged Ghanaians to comport themselves before, during and after the elections.
He also stated that, since his community has been tagged as a hotspot for violence, the members have been sensitised on the need for peace and unity.
The Chief, additionally, thanked the government for the Chereponi town water system and the creation of the North East Region.
Nanyame Kofi Malba VIII praised the NPP government for its pro-poor policies like the Free SHS, Planting for Food and Jobs, the expansion of the LEAP programme, NABCo among others.
He also applauded the Vice President for responding to their request for an ambulance adding that a petition they had presented to his office on some concerns have also been addressed.
