There has been a second explosion in Nigeria in two days - this time involving a fuel lorry in Nigeria’s commercial hub Lagos on Thursday evening.
Lagos State Emergency Management Agency says at least 16 people are seriously injured after the tanker exploded into flames destroying several vehicles and nearby buildings. Another 14 were given first aid, it said.
The victims have been taken to hospitals and the fire has been extinguished.

A statement by the agency says a faulty seal device next to the driver's seat had led to gradual leakages, which then ignited when the tyres burst.
The explosion in Lagos happened just a day after at least 25 people, including students, were killed in a similar disaster in the city of Lokoja - the capital of central Kogi state.
