The Parliamentary Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ajumako-Enyan Essiam constituency, Dr Rashid Kwesi Etuaful has stated that the people of Ajumako will vote for the NPP because the people want someone who would have an impact in their lives.

Speaking on JoyFMs 'BattleGround', Dr Etuaful relayed that the constituency has noticed the failure of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to fulfil promises to the constituency.

"The people want someone who would impact their lives directly. Someone who would put food on the table and not play with words and promise heaven and give nothing.

"The constituency has realised that they have been lied to and given messages that have not been consistent. We continue impacting lives and being able to solve basic problems using basic tools."

According to Dr Etuaful, he is excited that the NDC view him as a nobody.

He said this would not be of worry to him since he has won elections he was considered as a nobody especially when the MP for Ajuamko Essiam Anyan, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson was once a nobody in the 2008 election.

"When Ato Forson was contesting in 2008 to beat Atta Baiden he was a nobody. He had not seen anything like local politics.

"I have contested in four elections and I have lost none. I have been treated like a nobody in all four elections and I still won.

"If a nobody came up to beat a somebody in 2008 it means that in 2020, a nobody again can come up to beat a somebody."

He urged the incumbent MP to relay to the public what he has been able to do under the tenure of office.

"The MP should come on live radio and tell Ghanaians what he has been able to do in 4 years and what I have done in 1 year so the people of Essiam and Ajumako will decide.

"As my president said, this election year is about comparing track record, he stated.

He told JoyFM that the initiative he and the party have undertaken would ensure their victory in 2020 elections despite the fact both NPP and NDC has won the seat three times.

"The over 600 people we have given petty loans to, the many scholarships and the mini-market we are putting up is impacting the lives of the people. Those are the things transforming lives," he said.
