The National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammi Awuku has stated that the NPP party will be vigilant in order to ensure a credible election come December 7.
His comment comes as a reaction to remarks made by the former President, John Dramani Mahama who stated that he will not accept a flawed election following the anomalies noted in the recent voter registration exercise.
Sammy Awuku, however, emphasized that the NPP would maintain a high level of vigilance over the ballot boxes in the December polls to ensure a free and fair election.
“The NPP don’t want to be favoured in this polls, but the NPP will remain vigilant and ensure every ballot will be counted properly.”
Speaking at a Teachers conference in the Volta Region, Mr Awuku added that the NPP party will also not succumb to any form of intimidation or restriction in campaigning in any part of the country
“No region will be declared a no-go area in this united Ghana. Wherever we need to campaign I can assure you as a party member, we will campaign.
“Each and every voter will hear our message of hope against the hopelessness of Mahama,”  he said.
He also appealed to the teachers, who he indicated would be recruited as polling agents by the Electoral Commission to be vigilant in the discharge of their duties.
