A Non-Governmental Organisation, Weinglo Family International (WFI) has donated books to school pupils in Nsawam as part of its “Back to school project”.
The project which saw the distribution of at least 800 exercise books to less privileged pupils at Adoaagyiri Presby Basic School is aimed at soliciting support for the less privileged pupils and schools across the country.
In an interview, headmaster of the school expressed gratitude to WFI for their thoughtful acts.
He also called for infrastructural support to make the environment conducive for teaching and learning.
For the students, the gesture would go a long way to improve academic work and since pupils who previously had challenge acquiring books will have no reason to stay out of class.
On her part, the Organisation’s Founder, Gloria Andoh said the vision of the society is to share more than 10,000 books across the country in the next month.
She then called on philanthropists and other benevolent groups to support the course in order to bridge the education disparity that exists between students in the urban and rural areas.
