Security Analyst, Adam Bonah has advised parents to be cautious when it comes to the safety of their children.
Speaking to JoyNews, he insisted that parents should be keen on the lifestyle of their youngsters and prevent them from staying out late.
“Let’s be very careful in the way we let our young ones out there, sometimes they go two to three days and we don’t seem to bother because they can leave home and come back in a week."
His advice comes on the back of a death sentence imposed on two suspects who were involved in the kidnapping and killing of the four missing Takoradi girls.
The suspects Samuel Udeotuk Wills and John Oji were charged for kidnapping and murdering Ruth Abakah, 19; Priscilla Blessing Bentum, 21; Ruth Love Quayson,18 and Priscilla Koranchie, 15.
Between July and December 2018, the victims were captured at different locations; including Kansawurodo, Butumagyebu, Nkroful Junction all in Sekondi-Takoradi of the Western Region.
Being lenient on children according to Mr Bonah can have dire implications on the life of these young ones.
He said,“ if you are a parent and you allow your children to do this[stay out late] then you should know one day such a thing [kidnapping]could happen to you.”
The security analysts further cautioned youngsters to desist from interacting with strangers.
"Don’t begin to talk to people you don’t know, don't visit them if you don't know who they are, be careful."
