After Burna Boy and Wizkid took home a Grammy each on Sunday, their win ignited a new feud between 2 of Ghana’s Dancehall acts.
Samini and Stonebwoy fight on Twitter started after the latter praised Nigerians for supporting their artistes to achieve new milestones, particularly the Grammy wins.
In his tweet on Monday morning, Stonebwoy asked other African countries to applaud Nigerians for their unrelenting support and push of their artistes.
"With All Due Respect Let All other African Nations Give It Up For Nigeria. For their Constant efforts in holding the Mantle for Africa when it comes to entertainment On the Global Scene. Congrats for holding it down at the Grammys. As for Ghana, smh I'll be back,” he wrote on Twitter.
But his tweet was taken by some, Samini included, to be something of a condemnation of Ghanaians for failing to do for their artistes what Nigeria did for Burna Boy and Wizkid.

This tweet evoked a response from Samini who replied to Stonebwoy’s tweet, calling him a “faker” for berating Ghanaians for supposedly not supporting their own.
He asked the ‘Nominate’ artiste to be 100% honest with himself and others if he wants Ghana to also make it to the Grammys.
In his post, Samini accused Stonebwoy of being disrespectful to him, something he claims Nigerians would never do to 2face Idibia.
“Ghana will be ok if we begin to keep it '100 per cent' with each other as artists my gee. It starts from being honest and calling a spade a spade."
"Do you think they disrespect Idibia like you disrespect Samini?? #yearoftruth. Before you give extra fake fans to Nigeria #checkyourself faker,” he wrote.

In response to this, Stonebwoy tweeted referring Samini to a just-ended feud with Shatta Wale, stating: “No disrespect, you just finished a Twitter beef with Shatta is it my turn now?? We know each other personally I cannot do this with you on social media.”
He, however, refused to engage in a public fight with his former mentor.

Samini, upset by the Tweet warned Stonebwoy, who he referred to as his son, against throwing "dust in no one's eye", adding "Don't trash GH in congratulating Nigeria because they don't disrespect their legends like you do period".

He continued: "After calling me a sellout on a public stage during your mismatch clash? Who sold out who? We come from #grade1 ... you got nerves to be tweeting at me. ShattaWale is a mate you are a son ... get the difference. You disappointed me, son.”
