Prada has unveiled a capsule collection, especially for Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr. Fittingly, the Italian luxury house has teamed up with Afra Al Dhaheri and Fatima Al Ameemi, two creatives from Dubai, for the intricately curated array of ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories.
Titled “Reflections,” the capsule collection contains the perfect selection of pieces from the women’s spring/summer 2021 collection by Co-Creative Directors Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons. The elegant and stylish creations have been designed in multiple hues while featuring work by the regional talents. Plus, some favourite accessories in brand-new colourways, as well as specially designed shoes, take centre stage in the special collection.
For example, the Prada “Cleo” appears in new hues, including the luxurious Desert Beige and an adjustable strap, while another must-have bag is the Prada “System” made of patch nappa leather. This season’s hero piece, the minimalist “Nappa” mules, also make a mark. Feminine mules come in delicate and pretty pastels, just like the purses, while candy coloured pops can also be found on scrunchies, sunglasses and retro hair clips.
When it comes to Eid Al-Fitr celebrations, the options made for the region include a silver metallic mini-pouch, and the popular Prada “Re-Edition” available with crystal embroideries. Fashionistas have also been quick to add evening sandals embellished with crystals and embroideries to their online shopping baskets.

The “Reflections” campaign was shot against a minimal yet impactful Arabian desert landscape. While the unique and stunning location helps the pieces stand out, the simple yet intense backdrop is also the perfect choice as it’s where heritage that goes back millennia mixes impeccably with the modern.
The collection is available in Prada boutiques and online at https://www.prada.com/ae
