Highgrade family boss, Samini has expressed disappointment about how his protégé, Stonebwoy, has treated him.
According to Samini, he was there for Stonebwoy, but his ‘son’ made utterances in public that hurt him.
Speaking in an interview with George Quaye on Showbiz A-Z on Joy FM, on Saturday, he explained that he had a good rapport with Stonebwoy and even guided him on a number of occasions after they parted ways amicably.
"If I hear you on radio saying I am not there when you need me, it hurts. It makes me sit and break down”, Samini lamented.
He wondered what informed the Bhim Nation boss’ actions before and during a dancehall clash between his protégé and Shatta Wale, who is considered an opponent of Samini.
Touching on the last straw that broke the camel’s back, Samini alleged that Stonebwoy incessantly accused him of being unsupportive.
While recounting the unfortunate instances during the clash, he said of Stonebwoy, “You’re on stage, then [Shatta Wale] goes to select one of my songs. Then you take the mic and go like, ‘if you’re going to select a song, you’re going to select a song from a godfather who has sold his son out"?
“How did I sell out Stonebwoy? If Ghana can answer me” he demanded. According to Samini, “those were the things that hurt me”.
The 'Linda' hitmaker eventually revealed that even though he and Stonebwoy are not enemies, they are no more as close as ‘a father and a son’ should.
