The hopes of Accra Academy to make history by winning the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) for the first time is on course as they won their one-eighth contest on Wednesday.
The 'Bleoo' boys put up a good performance to beat Okuapeman School and Fiaseman SHS to gain qualification to the quarter-finals.
Accra Academy has been trolled over the years for being the only boys' school that has not been able to win the national competition since its inception but the contestants want to change the narrative this year.
They won their contest with an impressive 61 points while their competitors, Okuapeman School and Fiaseman SHS recorded 41 points and 24 points.
Both Okuapeman and Accra Academy received the Prudential Life NSMQ Star award worth Gh¢2,400 each after scoring 10 points in Round Three's 'Problem of the Day'.
