The Asante Professionals Club (APC) over the weekend embarked on a health screening and career guidance outreach among student in senior high schools within the Juaben and Effiduase enclaves.
The outreach saw over three thousand, five hundred final year students of these two schools taken through career choices, study tips, and motivational talks on how to be successful in their examinations.
The group, a voluntary “think and do tank” club, comprises of professionals from the Asante Kingdom of Ghana.
It is a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization with a high interest in the development of Asanteman and its people.
In particular, it has a huge mandate towards the empowerment of the youth, and sees education as a key factor in actualizing this.
The Club’s president, Ama Serwah Nerquaye-Tetteh explained that these outreaches organised by the group are in line with the mandate of the club.
According to her, all the members of the club are successful professionals in their own right, and have come together to give back to the society.
“Education is a huge opportunity, and we do our bit to encourage these young ones to take full advantage of it,” she stressed.
The outreach programme also had a question and answer session where students had the opportunity to interact with the members of the group.
