Hundreds of aggrieved Ghanaians have taken to the Facebook page of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), to campaign against any fiscal support for the country.
In a series of comments monitored by Myjoyonline.com, the aggrieved nationals made suggestions to the effect that President Akufo-Addo and his team have mismanaged the country's resources, and therefore undeserving of any assistance.

"Have you been approached by Ken Ofori Atta? The finance minister of Omofia (Ghana). He will come and do his face mobomobo but odeishe don't mind him. When he comes, tell him to go for MTN Quick loan wai", one of the aggrieved persons wrote.

Others who also expressed their sentiments argued that, the current state of Ghana's economy is a case of bad leadership, and therefore no monetary injection can make the situation any better.
The viral comments by the livid Ghanaians add to the widespread public outrage concerning government's decision to resort to the IMF for help.

One of the critics is a political science lecturer at the University of Ghana who has warned that the country will be 'ungovernable' if government accepts any IMF conditionality that freezes wage increment.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, Prof Ransford Gyampo stated that labour unions would be opposed to any policy, that does not guarantee an upward review of their wages next year.
The UTAG Secretary stated that he is yet to fully communicate his thoughts on government's decision to seek support from the IMF, as against previous indications that it would not resort to the Fund.
"Will write my thoughts about this IMF U-Turn later. But I warn that, labour won't tolerate any IMF conditionality that freezes wage increment next year. Government must keep its promise, regardless. Else Ghana will be ungovernable", he stated.
Speaking to Myjoyonline.com on the back of his Facebook post, he explained that, if government fails to heed the calls for increments from labour unions, it may lead to strike actions which may affect the smooth governance of the country.
In his clarifications, he further expressed worry over government's haste in shifting away fron the prospects of the E-levy and moving to the IMF.
Meanwhile, Agric Minister, Dr Afriyie Akoto has assured that, Ghanaians will soon applaud the NPP for its latest decision.
