Black Stars captain, Andre Ayew, is set to join Premier League side, Nottingham Forest after parting ways with Al Sadd.
The 33-year-old reached an agreement with the Qatari side to terminate his contract by mutual consent making him a free agent.
The forward ended his contract with Al Sadd with five months remaining on his two-year deal with the club after joining from Swansea City as a free agent.
However, Ayew is set to reunite with former manager Steve Cooper, after the player and Nottingham Forest reached an agreement over a six-month deal.
The Ghanaian is expected to join Forest until the end of the 2022/23 season with Sky Sports reporting done he has already completed his medicals.
Ayew played under Cooper during his time at Swansea and is hopeful a reuniting with him could spark life into his career.
The deal also sees Ayew turn down an approach from Everton on his return to the Premier League.
