Personnel protecting the Owabi Wildlife Sanctuary in the Ashanti region have clashed with a road contractor over the destruction of 2000 economic trees.
The removal of the trees, valued at over GH¢4 million is to make way for the construction of a new bridge at Atafoa on the Barekese road.
But the Owabi Wildlife Division says the move was abrupt and came with no notification.
