Former Ghana captain, John Mensah, has expressed confidence in the new Black Stars head coach, Chris Hughton.
Mensah is backing the former Newcastle United and Brighton manager to do an excellent job as head coach of the four-time African champions.
Hughton was appointed as the new Ghana boss at the start of February to replace Otto Addo, who stepped aside after the Black Stars exited the 2022 World Cup at the group stage.
Speaking to Kumasi-based Akoma FM, he urged Ghana to back Hughton, which will "boost him to make right decisions and make the nation proud once again.
"Chris is in to do an excellent job and wants success for the Black Stars so we should support him so that he won't feel bad.
"There's no time again than to throw our full support for Hughton to build a formidable team that can compete.”
Ghana's first task under Hughton's leadership is a doubleheader 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying games against Angola later this month.
