Legon Cities head coach, Maxwell Konadu, has reiterated confidence in his side beating relegation at the end of the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League.
The Royals suffered their ninth defeat of the league season after being beaten by 2-3 Bibiani GoldStars on matchday 25 at Duns Park on Monday, April 3.
The defeat leaves Legon Cities in the relegation zone having taken just 28 points from 25 games so far, a position which looks to be worrying for the club.
However, Konadu has vowed to keep the club in Ghana’s top flight at the end of the current campaign.
“We will [escape relegation]. Mark it on the wall. We will escape relegation,” the former Asante Kotoko gaffer told StarTimes after the game.
Konadu also commended the efforts of his team despite the loss adding they will continue fighting for the better.
“Proud of the performance of my boys today. They did well. This game was keenly contested. We gave our all but wasn’t enough sadly. We will keep fighting to escape relegation.”
Legon Cities will face Kotoku Royals at home in their next league game but before that, they come up against Dreams FC in the quarterfinal of the MTN FA Cup.
